In night of November 28th , between 0:00 an 4:00 in the morning, the Opel Astra of the deputy provincial chairman of the NPD Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, David Petereit, was set on foire by unknown persons.
According to current investigations it was not a technical defect that caused the fire, „MVregio“ reported. The car was destroyed completely. As fire accelerator was found the police assumes intentional arson. Police Staatsschutz of the Provincial Criminal Police took over investigations, as a political background is probable. Besides his function in the NPD, Petereit participated in the violent clashes around the national clothes shop „ECC/Dickkoepp“.
